Move to Recoleta - Argentine Open Tennis (draft)

We left Rooney's for the Recoleta barrio (closer to the ocean), the Argentina ATP Tennis Open and neighborhoods marked by tree-lined streets with restos, parillas (grilled meats), markets and shops of interest. Large parks and a terrific public transportation system made our exploring easy.

The BA Bicentennial Museum featured a mural by revolutionary artist David Alfaro Siqueiros, a Mexican ex-pat ranked by one writer up there with Jose Orozco and Diego Rivera. One enters  into a darkened room after installing shoe covers.

Nicolas Almagro (Esp) on the left made it to the finals losing to ATP 19th rated Dominic Thiem (Aut). Thiem at 22 signaled his dominance when he defeated Rafael Nadal.

French favorite, Tsonga, lost in doubles and again in singles. The singles match was much closer.

American John Isner lost to Serbian player Dusan Lajovic despite his 139 mph serves.

We walked for hours through Buenos Aires.  Good food, lots of galleries and museums and wonderful 19th and 20th century architecture.
